GET TO KNOW ANGELA'S HOME

WHO WE ARE

Angela’s HOME is a 150 m² apartment located on the second floor of a historic building in one of the most refined and elegant areas of Catania.

The building was constructed by the great-grandfather of the current owner and has been passed down from generation to generation. The apartment is named after the host’s mother, Angela, who strongly wished for her daughter and son-in-law to bring this project to life.

Angela’s HOME is a finely furnished house with a modern, sober, and elegant design, carefully curated in every detail to make guests feel truly at home.

You will stay in comfortable and welcoming rooms, with bright and colorful walls, immersed in an atmosphere of magical and radiant Sicilian spirit, characterized by heartfelt hospitality.

WHERE WE ARE

Angela’s HOME is located in the most elegant area of Catania, near the Courthouse, on Via Firenze, a street parallel to Corso Italia, the city’s chicest shopping avenue.

It is easily reachable:

  • from the airport: by taxi or bus (the Alibus stop is only 200 meters away, at Corso Italia n.67).
  • from the central station: by Metro in just two stops (the nearest station, ITALIA, is 50 meters away—exit Via Firenze) or on foot (about 1 km).
  • by car: you can park in the paid blue-line public parking under the building using the EasyPark app, or in a private garage for €15.00/day.

Thanks to the nearby Metro station, reaching the city center is extremely easy: just three stops to arrive in the historic Etnea Street area.

This iconic street was originally designed to connect the sea to Mount Etna. Today it extends for about 3 km, paved with dark volcanic stone and intersected by the magnificent streets of the historic center.

Here you can admire churches adorned with Sicilian Baroque, ancient ruins, the Cathedral and its square featuring “u’ Liotru,” the symbol of Catania, or the nearby picturesque “Piscaria” (the fish market), where you can wander through narrow streets filled with traditional shops and taste local street food.

When you stand in Piazza Duomo, place your back toward the sea (where Porta Uzeda stands) and look ahead—you’ll be struck by the breathtaking view of “a’ Muntagna,” Mount Etna, in all its spectacular grandeur.

For those seeking an unforgettable panoramic experience embracing both sea and mountain, brochures are available in the apartment to help you book an excursion with specialized, authorized guides. A unique adventure not to be missed!

Angela’s HOME is also very close to the sea. Walking along Corso Italia, you’ll reach Piazza Europa, from where we recommend strolling along the entire seafront, inhaling the “ciauru do mari” (the scent of the sea) until you reach the charming fishing village of San Giovanni Li Cuti with its black volcanic-sand beach, and eventually the picturesque little harbor of Ognina.

Along the seafront you’ll find many cafés, tea rooms, and small restaurants where you can taste typical Catanese specialties (breakfast pastries, tavola calda, arancini, desserts, and the famous granita) or enjoy an aperitif while admiring the Ionian Sea in all its beauty.
